About Anne
Hi, I’m Anne Olamide. I have over ten years of experience in mental health, working across a variety of settings. My focus is perinatal mental health, and I support people through pregnancy, postpartum, and early parenthood—especially when it feels heavier than you expected.
A lot of parents enter this season thinking they should feel grateful, excited, or naturally confident. But the truth is, this transition can bring anxiety, sadness, stress, identity shifts, relationship strain, and emotional overload that’s hard to put into words.
My goal is to help you feel more grounded and supported—so you can move through this season with more clarity, steadiness, and self-compassion.
Mission Statement
Wajoko Therapy exists to make perinatal mental health care more accessible, compassionate, and realistic. Support should meet you where you are, so you don’t have to carry everything alone—or wait until you’re falling apart to reach out.
Working Together
Therapy at Wajoko is not one-size-fits-all. Every person arrives with a different story, different stressors, and a different relationship to their body and emotions. My role is not to “fix” you, but to work alongside you in a way that feels supportive, practical, and grounded.
I use an integrative, client-centered approach that draws from several therapeutic frameworks, including mindfulness practices, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy. Rather than following a rigid model, we choose what is most helpful for you — and adjust as your needs change.
Our work often includes both the mind and the body. This may involve building awareness around thought patterns, gently working with emotions as they show up, or using voice and movement when words alone feel insufficient. The goal is to help retrain patterns that feel stuck or overwhelming, and to create more space for calm, clarity, and self-trust.
Your care is always collaborative and paced with intention. There is no pressure to perform, explain everything perfectly, or move faster than feels right. Therapy here is meant to meet you where you are — and grow with you over time.
